The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) along with ITEC S.A.S developed this project in order to carry out a flood risk assessment of the main basins of Venezuela. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to perform the modelling of the rain and flood hazards, an exposure survey, and a vulnerability analysis. The previous information was integrated in order to carry out the risk assessment, which was analyzed and resulted in further conclusions and recommendations.
